Esta Imogene Dickens Dame

March 31, 1936 - December 5, 2006

Mrs. Esta Imogene Dickens Dame was born on Tuesday, March 31, 1936, daughter of the late Dennis Devoe and Pauline Elliott Hawkins. Mrs. Dame died Tuesday at the family residence in Trumann, Ark., at the age of 70. She was born and a lifetime resident of Trumann. Mrs. Dame was a housewife and a member of the Freer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Junior Dickens in 1969; 3 brothers, Thomas J. Hawkins, Leland Hawkins and Dennis Devoe Hawkins Jr. and her parents. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Davis and Robie Holland both of Evening Shade, Sharon Morgan of Trumann and Debra Lynn Brawley of Coco Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Earline Coin and Deb Barker both of Trumann; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., with Rev. Bobby Ivy officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Pallbearers will be Kevin Waite, Doug Timbs, Jimmy Stevens, David Pierson and David Holland. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
