Joe Edward Guffey

June 8, 1930 - November 22, 2006

Mr. Joe Edward Guffey was born on Sunday, June 8, 1930, the son of the late Albert and Audie Dobb Guffey. Mr. Guffey died Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the family residence in Trumann, Ark., at the age of 76 years, 5 Months and 14 days. He was born in and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a retired factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Guffey was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice McIntire and Elda Broughton and his parents. Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Jo Guffey, Conney Guffey and Donna Waggoner all of Trumann; two sons, Donnie Joe Guffey and Raymond Lynn Guffey both of Trumann; a sister, Juanita Kimmons of Love Park, Ill.; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Lloyd Rhoads officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowman Cemetery in Bowman, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Raymond Guffey, Michael Lemons, Christopher Holman, Jackie Taylor, Joe Waggoner and Charles Laire.
