Edith Richardson PeelerJanuary 3, 1927 - November 11, 2006 Mrs. Edith Peeler was born on Monday, January 3, 1927, daughter of the late John Isaac and Martha Willis Creech Richardson. Mrs. Peeler died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 79. Born in Lunsford, Ark., she had lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was a retired employee of the former Salant & Salant Company in Trumann and a member of the Trumann Revival Center. Mrs. Peeler was preceded in death by her husband, Gobel Peeler in 1982; one daughter, Peggy Barker; two grandchildren, Adam and James Peeler; one sister; nine brothers and her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Cavenar of Jonesboro and Judy Hendrix of Williamson, Ga.; four sons, Terry Peeler of Carlisle, Carey Peeler of Trumann, Shane Peeler and Kip Peeler both of Harrisburg; two sisters, Ruth Baker of Trumann and Ruby Hammons of Jonesboro; one brother, Troy Richardson of Jonesboro; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, November 13th at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Frank Hardwick officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
