Afred S. Thorn

July 6, 1928 - September 17, 2006

Mr. Alfred S. Thorn, was born on Friday, July 6, 1928, the son of the late Norf Notho and Deddie Slatton Thorn. Mr. Thorn died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the NEA Medical Center of Jonesboro. Ark., at the age of 78. He was born in Jonesboro, Ark., and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was retired from Colson Caster Company in Jonesboro and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Ballard and his parents. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Dunman Thorn of the home; two sons, Joe Thorn of South Bend, Ind., and Tommy and his wife Kelly Thorn of Trumann; a sister, Janice Smith of Trumann; four grandchildren, Christy and husband, Kalem Richardson, Courtney Thorn, Kyle Barboza and Joel Barboza and one great grandchild, Gavin Richardson. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 21st at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Bud Stahl officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Billy Smith, Danny
