Mrs. Evelynn Jones Higdon was born Saturday, October 16, 1920 in Webster County, Miss., the daughter of the late Garfield Otis and Bertha Lee Holliman Hood. Mrs. Higdon died Thursday, August 3rd at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis, Ark., at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 18 days. She lived most of her lifetime in Trumann, was a former employee of the City of Trumann; a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Corners Chapel Baptist Church in Payneway, Ark.
