Mr. W. Vernon Davis of Trumann departed this life Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 27 days. He was born Sunday, July 6, 1930 in Manila, Ark., and had lived in Trumann for the past 60 years. He was a farmer, former employee of the Singer Company and a member of the Central Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Gene Davis, one daughter, Shelia Coke and his parents, William Orville
