LouElla Chestnut

April 2, 1928 - July 30, 2019

LouElla Wallace Chestnut was born April 2, 1928 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to the late Calvin Luckett and Alma Luckett.  She is preceded in death by her 1st husband Ocie Wallace and her 2nd husband Claude Chestnut Sr., one brother, Ben Jay Luckett; three sisters, Jerry Ruthie Luckett, Mae W. Boyd, Orvie B. Potts; and four children, Jessie Wallace, Carl Wallace, (Fay) Margaret Ijidakinro and Joseph Chestnut.      She leaves to cherish her memory 14 children.  Seven sons, James Wallace (Cora) of Jonesboro, AR, Ocie Wallace, Jr. (Clara) of Middleton, TN, Charles Wallace, Arthur Wallace, Sr. (Annie) of Jonesboro, AR, Claude Wallace of Trumann, AR, Dock Chestnut (Leslie) of Marion, AR and Ray Chestnut (Karen) of Jonesboro, AR; seven daughters, Shirley Calvert of Memphis, TN, Ella Louise Wallace of Trumann, AR, Flora Mitchell (Joe) of Trumann, AR, Mickie Wallace, Alma Smithwick (Curt), Jacqueline Chestnut, Ada Chestnut (Courtney) of Jonesboro, AR; one sister, Louvicey Skinner of Kosciusko, MS, 30+ grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, and many cherished, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.        She united with the Church of Christ and attended faithfully until her health failed.  She retired from Singer Manufacturing Company and was a nurse at Dr. Smith Clinic in Trumann, AR      LouElla was a strong wonderful woman who worked hard and provided for her family.  She taught each one of her eighteen children valuable life lessons that were passed on to their children.  Special thanks to Tammy Chestnut, Fay Wallace and Gary Russell.      Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.        A Celebration of Life will be Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Viva Drive Church of Christ in Trumann with Bill Willard and Joe Spangler officiating.  Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas.      Pallbearers will be Arthur Wallace, Jr., Emanuel Fields, Corey Wallace, Christopher Mitchell, Kevin Mitchell, Cameron Phillips, Misteur Lattimore, James Aaron Wallace, Sirking Wallace, Michael Wallace.  Honorary pallbearers are James Wallace, Ocie Wallace, Jr., Charles Wallace, Arthur Wallace, Claude Jr. Wallace, Dock Chestnut, Ray Chestnut, Nathaniel Lewis, James B.
