Veeta Marie Stanley

December 28, 1948 - August 31, 2019

Mrs. Veeta Marie Stanley of Trumann departed this life on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 3 days. She was born, Tuesday, December 28, 1948 in Senath, Missouri and had lived in Trumann for the past 50 years and was formerly of Monette, Ark. She was a former employee of the Singer Company and Baldwin Piano Company in Trumann and Frito Lay in Jonesboro and was a member of the Freer Baptist Church near Trumann.  She was preceded in death by her parents,  Lyman Ellis, Sr. and Christina Marie Kelley Crites.       She is survived by husband of 42 years, Doug Stanley of the home; one daughter, Dawn Renee’ Overman and husband Gary of Black Oak, Ark.; two step-sons, Mark Stanley and wife Cecilia of Lake City, Ark and Billy Stanley and wife Kristie of Bay, Ark.; one sister, Juanita Crites Wheeler of Monette, Ark.; two brothers, Kelly Allen Crites of Trumann and Bobby Crites of Leachville, Ark.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.      Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating.  Graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 AM in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark..      Pallbearers will be Aaron Stanley, Casey Stanley, Michael Owens, Scott Crites, William Tate and Greg Wheeler.      Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
