J.T. Smallwood

J.T. Smallwood

July 5, 1982 - September 15, 2019

James Troy Smallwood Jr, age 37, of Trumann AR, perished from this life on September 15,2019 due to seizures caused by a service disability. JT was born July 5,1982, in Andrews TX, to James Troy Smallwood Sr and Pam Smallwood. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Terah “His Boss” Redman (Jonathan) of Trumann AR; nieces Taylor “His Favorite” Cook and Dakota “Kodygolf” Redman; nephew Warren “War” Redman; love of his life Heather Meads and son Craig “Momma’s boy” Moore, of Brookland AR; grandparents Joann and Angelo Taverna of Memphis TN; great grandparents Frances Lafarlette of Trumann AR, and Jack Pearl of Jacksonville AR; three half sisters, four half brothers, countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.       JT is preceded in death by Tupac, Biggie, the “innocent” Michael Jackson, and his younger brother Erich “Poopoo Head” Smallwood, who once again beat him at the race to the pearly gates.      He was a 2000 graduate of Trumann High School, he served his country in the National Guard during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was the on again off again defense coordinator for the Direwolves flag football team. From the humble beginnings of the Trumann Housing Authority, rose a subpar athlete with limited handyman skills. Even though these skills were lacking, he made up for them in character, charisma, and perverse humor. You’d often find him digging through your refrigerator due to his tremendous love for leftovers or posting controversial facebook posts just to get a like. His keen fashion sense of white shoes, tall socks, gym shorts, and inappropriate t shirts will be etched in people’s memories forever. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, but mostly by number one elliptical at the trim gym, listening to Katy Perry’s “Roar”.        The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, AR.   A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home.        An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
