Sorry Joann and family for your loss. I worked for Jerry in the early 70's.He was a great boss and a great man! I visted and ate at the fountain before it closed.Working at Trumann Drug was a happy memory for me..I lost my father in 73,was working there at this time.Loved working with Jack,Jerry,Imogene and Hazel.. I knew Jerry when he had graduated from high school. He was a fine young man and stayed the same as he grew older. So proud of him and the life he chose to follow. He was a faithful Christian and I pray for his family in the loss of him.May God bless all of you.

So very sorry about Jerry. He was such a good man. I can remember coming down to the drug store downtown by the railroad tracks with my dad, Carl Gwaltney. He was always wanting to get me a soda. Prayers and hugs for the family.

Jerry was my boss at Campbell's Drug and Trumann Drug from the time I was 14 to 18. He taught me so much about customer service and how to treat people kindly no matter what their station in life. Your husband and father meant so much to me as a teenager working at Campbell’s Drug. He was a wonderful man who always took the time to ask me how I was doing and how my mom and dad were doing. He seemed to be very interested and what his ex-soda jerks were up to. I will always appreciate the job and the advice he shared with me from 1966 - 1970.
