James Howard Marshall

May 8, 1942 - January 21, 2020

Mr. James Howard Marshall departed this life Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Baptist Health in Conway, AR at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 13 days.  He was born Friday, May 8, 1942 in  Portia, AR and lived in Quitman, AR. He was a retired construction worker and of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Pat McFink and Deloris Helms and his parents, Verlin and Audrey Dean Marshall. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Jason Hamby) Marshall  of Trumann and Teresa Suzette (Gene) Sanders of Quitman, AR; one son, Terry Marshall of Harrison, AR; two sisters, Martha Lackey of Trumann, and Jeanette (Cleautis) Gardner of Houston, TX; one brother, Charles “Sonny” Marshall of Trumann; 5 grandchildren Gregory W. Dobbs, James P. (Candi) Dobbs, Brittany (David) Rosenberg, Elizabeth (Eric) Heavener, and Brandon Pankey; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  Graveside service will be Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick, AR with Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating.    Pallbearers will be Troy Helms, Dale Kirk, Scott Mangrum, Adam York, Jerry Bishop, and Brandon Pankey.       An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
