Patricia Clanton

July 6, 1935 - June 10, 2020

Mrs. Patricia Irene Clanton of Trumann departed this life on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 4 days.  She was born Saturday, July 6, 1935 in and lived most of her life in Trumann.  She was a member of Valley Ridge Baptist Church and she enjoyed church potlucks, Wheel of Fortune, crosswords, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.  She lived her whole life helping and sacrificing for others.  She worked sitting with terminally ill people until they went to be with the Lord.  She babysit and loved kids as if they were her own.  She was the strongest lady you could ever know.  She fought through so many tragedies and came back stronger.  She loved her children, grandchildren, church members and everyone she ever met.      We have strength in knowing as she went into Heavens gates, Dad was standing there smiling saying, “it’s about time, I have been waiting on you”.  Lisa with her huge smile and infectious giggle, so excited to see her.  Chuck with his laugh, rubbing his hands together in excitement, and Michael standing there the same way as his dad saying, “come on granny Pat, you’re gonna love this”.  Zach waiting and hugging her saying, “man, I love family gatherings” and then Leanne with her beautiful smile saying, “it’s been a long time granny”.  And last grandma and grandpa saying, “welcome home daughter we missed you”.  We love you and will miss you so much, and we will meet you again in Heaven one day.      She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Charlie” Clanton; one daughter, Lisa Shuburte; one son, Chuck Clanton; two grandsons, Zach Wilson and Michael Clanton; one granddaughter, Leeanne Dunn and her parents, Noah and Hattie Hale.      She is survived by three daughters, Scarlet (Donnie) Dunn, Melody (Joey) Wilson and Melinda (Allen) Linton; and son-in-law Jimmy Shuburte; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.      Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Bobby Floyd officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, AR.       Pallbearers will be Noah Tyler, Braison Morris, Sayler Linton, Jonathan Shuburte, Blake Linton, and Carl Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers wil be Jeremy Hicks, Robert Beach, Brain Watson, Jim Shuburte, John Stuckey, Dustin  Correa, Josh Barnes and Caliem Morris.      Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
