Laverne Woodruff

July 10, 1939 - November 24, 2020

Mrs. Laverne Woodruff of Trumann departed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 14 days.  She was born Monday, July 10, 1939 in Arkansas to the late James and Doris Bilvery Upton.  She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Woodruff; one sister, two brothers and her parents.        She is survived by three sons, Lonnie Woodruff, Jr., of Hoxie, Larry (Trisha) Woodruff of Paragould, and Danny Woodruff of Little Rock; two daughters, Bernice Woodruff of Portia and Linda Rogers of Walnut Ridge; seven brothers, Eddie Upton, Bobby Upton, William Upton, David Upton, of Trumann, Jimmy Upton of Jonesboro, Timmy Upton and Jimmy Gregory; four sisters, Bonnie Brown of Turrell, Patricia Cleary of Tennessee, Carolyn Holt; one sister-in-law, Louise Upton of Jonesboro; and 4 grandchildren.       Visitation will be Tuesday, morning from 11:00 to 12:00 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Monette Memorial Cemetery in Monette.  A special thanks to the staff of Quail Run Health and Rehab of Trumann.       In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form will be required.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
