Robert Houston Barker,  76, of Lake City passed away Saturday December 19, 2020, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.  He was born on September 13, 1944  in Wyandotte, Michigan and had lived in the Lake City area the majority of his lifetime.  He was a graduate of Lake City High School and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Trumann.  He worked at Roach Manufacturing for over 26 years   He loved to hunt and spend time with his camp family along with watching drag racing,  NASCAR racing, westerns, and church.  He was the son of the late Cloyd “Son” and Effie Charles “E.C.” Owens Barker and was also preceded in death by his wife, Joni Barker, brother Butch Barker, and sister Connie Sue Barker.                              Robert is survived by two sons, Robert Barker II, of Paragould, Mickey McDougal of El Dorado and step-son,  Mitchell Coleman of Lake City; one daughter, Beverly Barker of Trumann, two-step-daughters, Tabatha Wright and Milisa Haggenmacher both of Lake City; one brother, Harold “Sonny” Barker of Lake City; 9 grandchildren,  Latisha,  Houston, Austin, Karlee, Blake, Jacob, Ashlyn, Kristin, and Maddy;  4 great grandchildren, his beloved dog Toby  and special friend Brenda Stephens                                                                                    Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5- 6 pm at Thompson  Funeral Home in Trumann.    Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23rd at Prairie Cemetery with Rev. Adam Pate officiating   Burial will follow at Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.  To celebrate Bob’s love of hunting, please feel honored to wear your hunting attire to the graveside service.       In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
