Shalonda Looney

Shalonda Looney departed from this life on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 26 days.  She was born Tuesday, May 8, 1973 in Jonesboro and lived her lifetime in Trumann.  Shalonda was a 1994 graduate of Truman High School, a waitress at Fat City in Jonesboro and attended Marked Tree Church of God.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Jessee Hill and her grandparents.       She is survived by her husband, Roger Looney of the home; one son, Kristian Looney of the home; one daughter, Katie Looney of the home; parents, Raymond and Karen Hill of Trumann; three brothers, Raymond “Ray” Hill of Trumann, Brock Hill of Trumann, and Wesley Hill of Jonesboro; and her niece Karena Reed that Shalonda raised. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Grace Point Church, 828 Christy Ave. in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, morning at 10:00 a.m. with Revs. Michael Jernigan, Gary Barker and DeWayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home..
