I saw him and his family numerous times during my youth and spent a good bit of time with them. His son, Richard, was a good friend of mine. We hunted together some and spent time together including the same grade in school. After many years pass by and people start spending their time with their families, the way of life changes, even though the good memories remain. I have never forgot the great times with the Woodruffs. Over the years I have thought about them, and also many others, and today for the first time looked on the computer for information and as other times was sad over reading things I had not thought of for some time. This was a great family and I am very pleased to have known them and spent time with them as I did over the number of years.

I was blessed to have had Charley as a neighbor and dear friend my entire life. Charley was a wonderful person and will be missed by so many.
