Chester Rhoads

November 19, 1930 - November 21, 2021

Chester “Chet” Rhoads, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at  Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 91 years and 2 days.  He was born Wednesday, November 19, 1930 in Hominy, OK and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann.  Chester was a retired custodian for the Trumann School District and was a member of Alsup Pentecostal Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Pounders Rhoads; 5 sisters, Bertha Rhoads, Edna, Alt, Mae Greenwalt, and Lou; 4 brothers, James, Tom, Ted and Charles and his parents, Earnest W and Minnie Hall Rhoads.        He is survived by 3 sons, Jimmy (Kim) Rhoads of Hannibal, MO, Ricky (Christine) Rhoads of Rockford, IL and Nicky Rhoads of Tumann; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.       Graveside service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro with Rev.
