Diane Holley

November 21, 1955 - January 20, 2022

Diane Qualls Holley of Trumann passed away peacefully at home  on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 30 days.  She was born Monday, November 21, 1955 to the late W.E. “Dub” Qualls and Dorcy Martin Qualls.  She married Earl Holley, Jr. and they shared 49 years together. Together they raised three daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Sullivan of Jonesboro, Angela (Eric) Lowery of Trumann, and Mary (Brandon Dooley) Clanton of Austin, AR.  Diane held many roles in her life; wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister.  The role she will be remembered for the most is mother.   She loved her daughters and found much joy with her grandchildren prior to her illness.  While healthy, she enjoyed attending church, shopping, garage sales, music, dancing and reading.        Diane was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  She instilled the love of God in her children with night time stories from the Bible and relentlessly reminding each one that God loves you with his grace and of course, the Golden Rule: treat others as you would want to be treated.  Diane was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law and sister, James and Barbara Brewer, niece Tosha Stricklin and nephew Roger Qualls, Jr.       Survivors include her husband and children, sister, Bernice (Darrel) Wiley, brothers, Roger Qualls and Robert Qualls.  Surviving grandchildren include Paige (Cory) Bellinger, Matthew (Amber) Sullivan, Jackson (Hannah) Lowery, Connor Lowery, Madisson Clanton, Mailey Clanton, Hailey Dooley, and three great-grandchildren.  Surviving nephews and nieces include Anthony (Janice) Brewer, Kenny (Michelle) Brewer, Lisa (Shawn) Hall, Christy Qualls, April Qualls, Tonya Qualls, Scott Qualls, Bobby Qualls, John Davis, Billy Holt, Rhonda Holt, and several great nieces and nephews.       Diane has requested a simple funeral, much as the way she lived.  Graveside service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye in a private ceremony of family and friends with Dayl Hogan officiating.       Pallbearers will be Jackson Lowery, Connor Lowery, and Matthew Sullivan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Lowery, Brandon Dooley, and Jeff Sullivan.       Lasing memorials the family asks that consideration be give to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN  38105-9959       Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
