Wilburn Wade Garrett

May 26, 1934 - April 9, 2022

Mr. Wilburn Wade Garrett of Lufkin, TX departed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 14 days.  He was born Saturday, May 26, 1934 in Trumann, AR and had lived most of his lifetime in the Brookland, Bay and Trumann area.  He was retired from Hytrol and of the Church of Christ faith.  He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Garrett; daughter-in-law, Belinda Garrett; 3 sisters, 4 brothers, and his parents, Jessie and Georgia Eva Best Garrett.       He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy England Garrett; two sons, John (Jeanne) Garrett of Brookland and Bob Garrett of Lufkin, Texas; one daughter, Gail (Steve) Talley of Jonesboro; one sister, Yutha Hanes of Trumann; one brother, James Garrett of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, John II, Joshua, Nicolas, Marcus, Bradley, and Savannah; and two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Lainie. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, AR. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Ellis Reynolds, Donnie Foster, and Doyle Bruce officiating.  A committal service will be Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Pine Log Cemetery.   In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial covering is optional.       An online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
