Betty Joe Timbs

November 22, 1942 - July 21, 2022

Betty Joe Timbs of Trumann departed this life Thursday, July 21, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 79.  She was born in Anderson Tully, Ark., and was a lifetime resident of Trumann. Betty owned her home Decorating Business and was of the Baptist faith. She loved  shopping, her dog Cooper, eating out and spending time with the great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Timbs, Sr.; two sons, Jimmy and Albert Dwight “Pee Wee” Timbs; son in law, Kerry Cook and was the daughter of the late Ermeld and Jenny Fike O’Brien. Mrs. Timbs is survived by one daughter, Terry Cook of Trumann; one son, Larry (Erin) Timbs of Lake City; one sister, Kay Gregory of Marion, Ark.; one brother, Gene O’Brien of Batesville, Ark.; three grandchildren, Amber (Derek) Robinson, Jody (Jarred) Adams and Alan Timbs; four great-grandchildren, Makynley and Realyn Robinson and Oakley and Saylor Adams. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25th  from 12:30 to 1:00 p. m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Chad and Angie O’Brien officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. In compliance with Covid-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial coverings are optional, and social distancing will be recommended.
