Jackie D Moon

Mr. Jackie Darwin Moon of Bay, departed this life Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 5 days. He was born Saturday, March 1, 1947 in Jonesboro, AR to the late Victor W. and Quida Elizabeth Jones Moon.  He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a carpenter and of the Church of Christ faith. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Tom Moon, James Moon, Bill Moon, Charlie Moon, Larry Moon, and Paul Moon; three sister, Rochelle Moon Norman, Janette Moon Mabry, and Vickie Moon Holden; one son-in-law, Mark Richie and his parents.       He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Nunnally Moon of the home; two daughters, Angie Moon Richie and Stephanie Moon (Erik) Willbanks; one sister, Lou Ann Moon; two brothers, Floyd “Sonny” Moon and Craig Moon; five grandchildren, Drake (Camille) Richie, Jackson Hendrix, Cody Hendrix, Mallory Willbanks and Raylan Willbanks; one great-grandchild, Avery Richie.       The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Dale Davis and Pamela Lamb Lee officiating.
