Annie Marie CarterFebruary 21, 1940 - March 4, 2023 Annie Marie Henson Carter, 83, of Paragould, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Saturday, March 4th 2023. Annie was born February 21st, 1940 in Bay, AR. Annie was very grounded in her Pentecostal faith. She loved her church (The Sanctuary Church of Jonesboro) very much. Even when she was very sick, she stayed committed to attending church as much as possible. She was one of the greatest prayer warriors who led others to become prayer warriors. Annie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Virgil and Bonnie Henson; four sisters, Zella Mae Harrison, Shelby Hasting, Maxine LaRue, and Betty Reed; two brothers, William Joe Henson, and Garland Henson; two sons, Dewayne Carter, and Derrell Carter, and one great-grandson, Kellen Avery Loven. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Teresa (Mitchell) Brown of Trumann, Rose Loven of Jonesboro, Carol (David) Richards of Trumann, Darline Williams of Jonesboro, and Christine Smith and special daughter, little Annie Carter, and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, one brother, Dean (Pat) Henson, and two sisters, Mary Nelson, and Jodi (Tom) Clayton. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at The Sanctuary Church of Jonesboro with Revs. Kenneth O’Connell and Jimmy Loven officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Active pallbearers will be Gary McIllwain, Jr., Jason Brown, Jon Brown, Josh Brown, Jimmy Loven, Jr., Dustin Miller, and Steven Williams, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Montgomery, and Dylan Loven.
