Patricia Joan Swindle

March 24, 1939 - March 7, 2023

Patricia Joan Swindle of Trumann, AR, departed this life on Tuesday, March 7th at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 83 years,11 months and 11 days. She was born Friday, March 24, 1939 in Weona, AR  and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann.  Patricia was a housewife and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward “Bud” Swindle; one son, James Monty Swindle; 3 sisters, 2 brothers; and her parents, John and Ludy Halfacre Meeks.       She is survived by one son, Ricky (Demetra) Swindle of Jonesboro; one daughter, Sherry (Rick) Jones of  Ravenden Springs, AR; one brother, D.A. Meeks of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren, Erika Jones  (Jason) Treat, Kevin Swindle, Brian Swindle, Christy Swindle (George) Davison, Scott (Whitney) Swindle and Haley Swindle (Derek) Adams; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.      Family will receive friends Friday, March 10th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Thompson Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 pm with  Rev. Ricky Dobbins officiating.  Burial will be private in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg, AR.          In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks or other facial covering and social distancing is optional.
