Clara Craig

Clara Kathlene Craig of Trumann passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 11 days.  She was born Saturday, May 2, 1931 in Trumann and lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area.  She was retired from General Electric in Jonesboro and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Hue “Pete” Craig, one sister, Doris Friend, five brothers, Roy, Vernon, Kenneth “Shorty” and Reuben Parnell; and 2 infant siblings, Garland and Eva; and was the daughter of the late William Lee and Cora May Randolph Parnell.      She is survived by daughter, Brenda Kay (Gary) Fortune of Mooresville, NC; two sons, Donnie Hugh (Pamela) Craig of Brighton, TN and Rickey Lynn Craig of Barlett, TN; two brothers, Calvin Parnell of Paragould, and Jim Parnell of Madisonville. KY; three sisters, Dean Gentzler of Mascoutah, IL, Neva Swann of Hot Springs, and Wanda Gibson of Bono; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Craig, Joey Craig, Kyle Craig, Tracy Craig, Chris Fortune and Jon Fortune; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.       The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Brady Canwright officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Craig, Joey Craig, Kyle Craig, Christopher Fortune, Jon Fortune and great-grandson, Zachary Craig.
