Darla Johnson

September 8, 1968 - April 23, 2023

Darla Johnson, 54, of Trumann departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in Trumann on September 8, 1968 to Selvin (Hap) and Wilma Lee (Fanning) Johnson.  She resided at JHDC in Jonesboro before moving to Trumann 12 years ago. Darla enjoyed long car rides, family get togethers, camping, fishing, watching ballgames, riding the side by side, George Jones and most of all her balloons.  Darla was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.         She is survived by five sisters; Sharon Kay (Bob) Bratton, Judy Bivens, Helen Johnson all of Trumann, Kathy Hudson of Lake City, and Tiney (Woody) Woodward of Dover, TN.        The family will receive friends Saturday, April 29th from 10:00 to 11:00.        Celebration of life will follow at 11:00 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Erica Bonner and Vickie Romine officiating.  Burial will be private.        A very special thank you to Dr. Danny Grubbs and staff and the nursing staff at St. Bernards Medical Center.       Family request that memorials be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 1817 Woodsprings Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72401 or Jonesboro Human Development Center, 4701 Colony Dr, Jonesboro, AR 72401.        Online guest book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net
