David Wayne Luna

August 10, 1944 - October 8, 2023

David Wayne Luna of Brookland, AR went home to the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 28 days surrounded by his wife and children.  He was born August 10, 1944 in Trumann and lived the last 23 years in Brookland.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Beatrice Luna; two sisters, Mary Ann Burgess and Betty Beebe, one brother, Howard Luna and one son, Larry Luna. David leaves behind a loving and devoted family including his wife of 27 years, Jevonna Luna of Brookland; three sons, Kyle (Krista) Luna of Brookland, AR. Jonathan (Sheryll) Luna of Trumann and Donald Luna of Austin, TX; one daughter, Christi (AJ) Fortier of Jonesboro, AR; one brother, Jerry Luna; two grandsons, Lee Fortier and Geoffrey Fortier; four granddaughters, Allyssa Luna, Summer Luna, Auralyn Luna and Dylan Luna; and one great-grandson, Gabriel Fortier. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. with David Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR         Pallbearers will be Kyle Luna, Jonathan Luna, Geoffrey Fortier, A.J.
