Mrs. Velma Mae King of Trumann passed away Sunday, November 12th at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 9 days.  She was born Sunday,September 3, 1939 in Harrisburg and lived in Trumann since 1973.  Velma was a housewife and a member of United Pentecostal Church.   She was preceded by one daughter, Patsy King; two sisters, Irene Laughinghouse, Lorene Blunk; six brothers,  Billy, Bobby, Albert Jr, Elmer Ray, Gary and Mike Walker; and her parents, Albert and Hattie Houge Walker. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harold “Bo” King of the home; two daughters, Deloris (Bobby) Benson of Trumann, Betty (Bryant) Burns of Southaven, MS; four sons, Wayne (Cathi) King of Trumann, James (Connie) King of St. Augustine, FL, Phillip (Mary Jane) King of Trumann and Mark (Kim) King of Mountain Home; one sister, Linda (Gary) Parker of Trumann; one brother, James (Myra) Walker of Greers Ferry,  and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Batson officiating.  Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro.       Pallbearers will be, Wayne King, Jr., Phillip King, James King, Mark King, Wayne King, III, Asa King and Keith Isbell.  Honorary pallbearers are Michael Bentley, Rian King, Cross Bentley, Austin Thornell, Bates King and Joseph Teamer.
