Boyce Whitaker

August 13, 1938 - January 2, 2025

Mr. Boyce Edward Whitaker of Trumann departed this life on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 86 years, 4months and 20 days. Mr. Whitaker was born in Booneville, Miss., and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a retired factory worker, veteran of the National Guard and a member of the Providence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife K. Frances Whitaker and was the son of the late Robert Nathaniel and Gracie Mae Harris Whitaker. He is survived by two daughters, Annetta (Frank) Reece  of Minor Hill, Tenn. and Deborah (Wes) Phillips of Bay; one son,  Barry Allan Whitaker of Harrisburg; one brother, Felix  Whitaker of Brookland: 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Trumann. Celebration of life will follow at 2:00 with Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating.  Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg, AR., under the care of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.      Pallbearers will be Donnie Whitaker, Lonnie Whitaker, Sam Whitaker, Scott Whitaker and Matt Fahr.
