Gearld Vickers

August 18, 1944 - March 15, 2025

Rev. Gerald Vickers of Jonesboro, departed this life Saturday, March 15, 2025 at NEA Memorial hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 25 days. He was born in Tulot, AR to the late Early and Exie Byram Vickers. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. His passion was serving in the ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy in Pine Bluff, Wynne, Marked Tree, Manila, Texarkana and Jonesboro. He loved to golf, fish, hunt and be outdoors. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Louise Vickers; a sister, Mary Alice Orr and his parents.       He is survived by his wife, Tresa Vickers of the home; daughter, Anita (Edward) Hackleman of  Texarkana, TX; four sons, Timothy (Samantha) Vickers of Portia, AR, John (Stacy) King of Conway, AR, Jeff (Cassie) King of Bono, AR, Bret (Candice) King of Jonesboro, AR; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.       The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, March 19th at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Davis and Rev. Jerry Vinson officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
