Sherry Lynn Whitman

February 11, 1947 - July 6, 2025

Sherry Whitman, of Trumann, AR departed this life Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Willowbend Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Marion, AR at the age of 78 years, 4 months, and25 days.  She was born February 11, 1947 in Jonesboro, AR to the late Carl and Mildred Nichols Forbis. She attended Eastside Baptist church in Trumann and lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carla Loveless.       She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Lepard and  fiance Mike Downing both of Marion, AR; her son, Rodney (Jennifer) Whitman of Orange City, IA; sister, Janiel (Gerald) Martin of Marion, AR; 3 grandchildren; Hunter (Kaitlyn) Lepard, Cale (Holly) Lepard, Gunner Whitman, and 2 great-grandchildren, Emerie Lepard and Cache Lepard.       The family will receive friends Thursday, July 10th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be Friday, July 11th, at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.       An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
