Joseph Elwood Foster

November 20, 1939 - July 26, 2025

Joseph Foster of Trumann departed this life on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at his residence in Trumann, AR at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 6 days.  He was born Monday, November 20, 1939 in California and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann.   He was a retired truck driver and an air force veteran and of the Baptist faith.  Joe loved to hunt and fish and cooking at deer camp.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine West Foster; three sisters, Patricia Sharp, Naomi Seats and Judith Rhodes; one brother, Billy Foster and his parents, Francis and Blanche Hill Foster.        He is survived by one son, Jerry (Stacey) Foster of Trumann; two brothers, Dean Foster and Ronald (Angie) Foster both of Jonesboro.        The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00  in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Kimery officiating.   Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro.   Pallbearers will be Todd Foster, Josh Foster, Jamie Dickerson, Dusty Rhoads, Jason Hall and Tony Sharp.   A special thank you to Dierksen Hospice for the care they gave Dad and to Audrey Hutchison and Stephani Wilson for the love and care they gave Dad.
