Franklin “Bud” Hamby of Trumann departed this life Monday, November 17, 2025 in Troy, AL at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 19 days. He was born March 29, 1939 in Haleyville, AL to the late Leonard and Minnie Hamby. He was retired from Singer and Roach Manufacturing and he loved to hunt, fish, play the guitar and harmonica and was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Kain Hamby; daughter, Joyce Brindley; his parents; sister, Ona Mae Keller; five brothers, Russell Hamby, Jack Hamby, James Hamby, Neal Hamby, Carl Hamby; and son-in-law, Rick Winkles SR.       He is survived by three sons, Robert (Belinda) Holt of Trumann, Earl Hamby (Jenny Meine) of Sedgwick, AR, Ronnie (Lisa) Holt of Trumann; two daughters, Donna (Charles) Laire, Bonnie Winkles, both of Trumann; Brother Wayne Hamby of Sneads, FL; Sister Carolyn Taylor of GA; nine grandchildren, Kevin Holt, Ricky Winkles Jr, Tonya Johnson, Jeremy Winkles, C.J. Laire, Breann Hawley, Adam Carroll, Michael Laire, Kelsey Jackson, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons, Ryker and Tate Hellums.       The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.  A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Forbis officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg       Pallbearers are: Ricky Winkles Jr, Michael Laire, C.J. Laire, David Hamby, Robert and Ronnie Holt.
