Elizabeth A. Vredingburgh

Elizabeth A. Vredingburgh departed this life on Monday, February 16, 2026 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 26 days. She was born September 21, 1938 in Bay, AR and lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann and Bay area. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of Viva Drive Church of Christ. Elizabeth was an avid reader, great cook, enjoyed studying the bible and working at the clothes closet at church. She was preceded in death by one son, Brian Edward Vredingburgh and her parents William F. and Lillian Boyd Rains. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harry Vredingburgh of the home; one son, William Scott (Beth) Vredingburgh of Cedar Park, TX; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Chad (Grace) Vredingburgh of Austin, TX, Lily Vredingburgh of Morgantown, VA, and Anna Vredingburgh of Gulfport, MS and 1 great-grandchild, Rosemary Vredingburgh. Visitation will be Sunday, February, 22nd from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be Monday at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Joe Spangler officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.
