Eula Rivers Moss

Mrs. Eula Rivers Moss departed this life on Monday, September 19, 2016 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 87 years, and 20 days. She was born Friday, August 30, 1929 in Ardmore, Ala., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann, Ark. Mrs. Moss was a housewife and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Simpson and John Moss, Jr., one daughter, two sons, and her parents, Travis and Carrie Morand Hastings. She is survived by one daughter, Tracy Thomas of Alton MO; five sons, Gary Simpson of Koshkonong, MO, Jackie Simpson of Bay, David Simpson of Trumann, Ted Simpson of Koshkonong, MO and Chris Simpson of Trumann; one sister, Francis Hart of Hardy; one brother, Robert Hastings of Poplar Bluff, MO; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Kenneth Doke. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Jason Simpson, Jackie Simpson, Jr., Kevin Rusher, Ronnie Thompson, Tanner Rusher, and Matt Kain.
