Arzella DePriest Sweat

October 7, 1935 - June 24, 2016

Mrs. Arzella DePriest Sweat formerly of Cherokee Village, died after a long battle with cancer, on Friday, June 24, 2016 at her daughters residence in Keller, Texas, at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 17 days. She was born Monday, October 7, 1935 in Promised Land, Arkansas, to Elisha Austin DePriest, Sr. and Mae Russaw DePriest. She grew up and married Raymond Sweat, Sr. on April 7, 1951 and enjoyed 56 happy years before he passed away in 2007. Arzella was a loving wife and devoted mother. She loved to travel and see new places. Some of her favorite things to do were taking long drives in the country to enjoy the spring wildflowers, and leaf peeping in the fall. She was always the one up for a new adventure. When asked if she would like to go on a trip, she would grab her purse and say,
