Mrs. Jewel Dean Cromwell, of Bay died Friday, March 25, 2016 at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 75 years, 1 Month and 15 days. She was born Monday, February 10, 1941 in Decatur, Ala., and had lived Trumann, Burt, Mich., before retiring in Bay, Ark. Mrs. Cromwell was a retired factory worker from General Motors and a member of the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church. She loved traveling, bingo and being with family and friends. Mrs. Cromwell was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Clara and Frank Upton, her father Billy Winters Sr., and one brother, Billy Winters Jr. Mrs. Cromwell is survived by her husband of 58 years, Russell P. Cromwell of the home; 4 sisters, Shirley Hill of Jonesboro, Panzy Cox and Diane Ramsey both of Paragould and Windy Ritchie of Lake City; one brother, Franklin Upton of Holland, Mich., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Rick Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ark. Pallbearers will be Vernon Winters, Brian Peaster, Brandon Hellenthal, Aaron Hellenthal, Zack Ramsey and Chason Hellenthal. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Wilson and Mark Cromwell. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
