Mr. Harlan was a true example of a fine, kind and gentle man, dedicated Christian, American hero and wonderful husband and father. I'm so saddened to know he's gone, but he earned his resting place with the Lord. My condolences to his dear Lou, his girls and their families.

Mr. Harlan was a good friend to me while I attended first Baptist Church. I asked him and Richard Shelton, POW also. Dad was a combat medic in Africa, France , Germany but I never had to go through the things they did. The world lost a great man when Mr. Harlan died.
