Mr. Mayo Theodore Reeves of Trumann died Monday, July 28, 2014 at the family residence in Trumann at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 11 days. He was born Wednesday, January 17, 1923 in Trumann and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. Mr. Reeves was a retired farmer, a veteran of U.S. Army serving in World War II and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Pipkin Reeves, 1 sister, 3 brothers, and his parents, Lonnie and Sarah Elizabeth Wienecke Reeves. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Cliff) Hopper of Trumann, and Karen Dunkerson of Jonesboro; two sons, Murray Reeves of Trumann and David (Edna) Reeves of Harrisburg; one sister, Wanda Lee Coots of Trumann; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Darrel Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.Pallbearers will be Ben Barker, Tracy Holst, Tommy Coots, Terry Coots, Steve Speaks, Derek Walton and Daren Walton. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Gairhan, Jackson Barker and Ethan Holst. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral home in Trumann.
