James Carvin O'BrienSeptember 17, 1931 - July 20, 2014 Mr. James Carvin O’Brien, 82, went to be with his Father on July 20, 2014 at the family residence in Trumann, Ark.. Mr. O’Brien was born September 17, 1931 in Oil Trough, Ark., to Ermel and Jennie Fike O’Brien and lived his lifetime in Trumann. He was retired from the City of Trumann Parks Department, former employee of the Singer Company and was a member of the Church of The Lord Jesus Christ of Trumann. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esta Lee O’Brien, one sister, Nellie Maglothin and his parents.He is survived by one daughter, Connie (Gene) Reeves of Trumann; one son, Dwight O’Brien of the home; three brothers, Bobby (Pat) O’Brien of Smithville, Ark.; Gene (Kay) O’Brien of Batesville, Ark.; and E.C. (Patsy) O’Brien of Trumann; three sister, Betty Timbs and Sue Bixler of Trumann, and Kay Gregory of Marion, Ark.; 3 grandchildren, Christy (Kevin) Pierce, Carl (Jessica) Wilson and Josh Reeves and 7 great-grandchildren. He was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark., with Bro. Jimmy Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Bolivar Cemetery near Harrisburg, Ark. Pallbearers will be Tony Ragsdale, Kenny Whitaker, Lonnie Whitaker, Donnie Whitaker, Felix Whitaker, and Nathan Whitaker. Honorary pallbearers will be Boyce Whitaker and Finis Whitaker.
