Edna Juanita Whittingham

Mrs. Edna Juanita Whittingham, of Trumann, Ark., died Sunday evening at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 11 days. Mrs. Whittingham was born Monday, October 25, 1926 in Lepanto, Ark. She was retired from Singer Co. and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Trumann. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Raymond Whittingham of the home; one daughter, Lavonda (Lonnie) Taylor of West Memphis; two sons, Raymond (Diane) Whittingham, Jr. of Trumann, Ark. and Russell (Donna) Whittingham of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, Donald (Bonnie) Knapp and Nolan (Linda) Knapp of Flippin, Ark., and Joe (Donna) Knapp of Olive Branch, Miss, one sister, Elouise Miller of Jonesboro, Ark.; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Matt Daniels and Bro. Dale Mackey officiating. Burial will follow in Nichols Cemetery near Marked Tree, Ark. Pallbearers will be Durrell Newell, Charlie Hicks, Earnie Nichols, Michael Adams, Jacky Tarver, and Joe Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Snyder, Eugene Mott, Bud Blasingame and L.D. Gibson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
