James Edward Smith

Mr. James E. Smith of Hudson, NC formerly of Trumann, AR went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice in Lenoir, NC, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 26 days. He was born Sunday, September 15, 1940 in Tyronza, Ark. to the late George and Ruby (Carmon) Smith. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather. His passion in life was being with his beloved wife Freda. He was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Smith and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Freda Smith; three daughters, Darlene (Allen) Bourgeois, Teresa (Randy) Roberts and Shelia (Mark) Walker; one son, James R. (Jamie) Smith, one sister, Kathy (Donald) Schmidt, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Bro. Bobby Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Ark. Visitation will be Thursday June 12, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
