James Edward Brown, Sr.May 22, 1944 - May 25, 2014 Mr. James Edward Brown, Sr., of Trumann, Ark., died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 70 years and 3 days. Mr. Brown was born Monday, May 22, 1944 in Victoria, Ark. to the late Hardin Edward and Gerline Moore Brown and had lived most of his lifetime in Dyess, Ark. before moving to Trumann seven years ago. He was a retired farmer, loved hunting and fishing and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann Crump Brown in 2004; two brothers Billy Ray and Orville Gene Brown and his parents. He is survived by one daughter, Tanya Brown Sparks of Ash Flat, Ark.; four sons, James E. Brown, Jr. of Jonesboro, Bobby L. Brown and Anthony Brown both of Harrisburg and Bradley Brown of Trumann; four sisters, Mary Dearen of Paragould, Linda Hamm of Caraway and Brenda Brown and Sharon Daniels both of Trumann; four brothers, Troy Brown of Lepanto, Benny Brown of Paragould, Bobby Brown of Batesville and Douglas Brown of Caraway; eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Potters Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Ark. Pallbearers will be Kirk Brown, Jacob Brown, Ken Calhoun, Robert Gaddis, Trevor Brown and Bobby Don Roland. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Daniels, Hardin Daniels, Jamison May and Jeff Miles. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Lasting memorials can be made to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 E.
