Cassie Mae MaclinJune 3, 1923 - February 3, 2014 Mrs. Cassie Mae Maclin of Trumann died Monday morning at her home in Trumann, Ark., at the age 90 years and 8 months. Mrs. Maclin was born Sunday, June 3, 1923 in Dover, Ark., and had lived most of her life in Trumann. She was retired from Singer Company and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Maclin was preceded in death by her husband, Beard Maclin; two sons, William Armstrong and Bobby Maclin; one great-great grandson, Aiden Grays; one sister, Mary Hubbard; two brothers, Lawrence Curtis and Jack Curtis and her parents, Calvin and Mattie Curtis. Survivors include four daughters, Ruby (Junior) Maclin of Poplar Bluff, MO, Nola Gibbs of Trumann, Mattie (Hubert) Raney of Trumann and Cathy VanVleck and special friend Robbie Robinson of West Plains, MO; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow in Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah, Ark. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Lyda and Brantley Madden. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, Ark.
