Dorothy Dean Ford

Mrs. Dorothy Ford of Trumann died Monday, October 21, 2013 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 22 days. She was born Thursday, April 29, 1926 in Whitehall, Ark., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was retired from Singer Mfg. and was a member of the First Christian Church in Trumann. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, R. A. Ford, one brother, Herbert Mott and her parents, Dave and Luella Grant Mott. She is survived by two sisters, Helen Hervey of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Shirley Grimes of Brookland, Ark.; and four brothers, Eugene Mott of Trumann, David Mott of Dexter, MO, Leon Mott of Trumann and Bobby Mott of Trumann. Graveside service will be Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ark., with Rev. Leonard Harp officiating. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Memorials can be made to First Christian Church, 521 Main St., Trumann, AR 72472.
