Mr. Jerry Lee Hunt, Sr., died Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark., at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 0 days. He was born June 19, 1942 in Caraway, Ark., to the late Howard Jack and Virginia McHaffey Hunt. Mr. Hunt lived most of his lifetime in Trumann, was a retired factory worker, veteran of the National Guard and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lawanda Hunt and his parents. He is survived by three daughters, Carrie (Barney) Green of Potoau, Okla., LaDonna (James) McMasters of Bay and Teresa (Bobby) Hutchison of Trumann; two sons, Jerry Lee (Krystal) Hunt Jr., and Mark Hunt both of Trumann; one brother, Gerald Hunt of Trumann; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., with Bro. Rick Jenson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hutchison, Brent Henderson, Gage Haynes, Justin Hutchison, Barney Green and James McMasters. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Hunt and Eugene Cambron. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
