Ruby Mae Pankey

Mrs. Ruby Mae Pankey of Trumann died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 94 years, 6 months and 26 days. Mrs. Pankey was born Sunday, December 29, 1918 in Greenfield community near Harrisburg, Ark., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. She was a retail clerk for the former Kustoff Clothing and Sterling Store and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cecil Pankey; two sisters, Virgie Costley and Dorothy Wolfe; and her parents, David and Ella Russaw Wolfe. Survivors include one son, Dennis Pankey and special friend Mary of Trumann. Graveside service will be Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, with Rev. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
