Gaylon Ray Karnes

Mr. Gaylon Ray Karnes, of Trumann died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Regional Medical Center of Memphis at the age of 69 years, 8 months, and 4 days. He was born Saturday, May 15, 1943 in Campbell, MO., to the late Cecil and Betty Benson Karnes. He had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann and was a truck driver for Johnston Trucking and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by one sister, Christine Smith and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Lorine Ethel Wilson Karnes of the home, one daughter, Lora Crotzer (Keith) of Trumann, one brother, William Karnes of Pollard, Ark., two sisters, Peggy Robertson of Brownsville, Oregon, and Pat Isbell of Jonesboro. Funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Keith Crotzer, Robert Nichols, Kenneth Duvall, Phillip Johnston, Ronnie Johnston, and Keith Fisher.
