Mr. Walter Eugene Sheets 73, of Trumann, Ark., died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Skilcare Nursing Center in Jonesboro, Ark. He was born in Bay, Ark., and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Sheets was preceded in death by one brother Bill Wadlington and his parents, George and Vercie Wadlington Sheets. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Siefert and husband Louis of Trumann and Bonnie Poye and husband Joe of Sidney, Ark.; two brothers, Don Sheets and wife Wanda of Springdale and Frank Sheets of Prescott, AR; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Raymond Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Terry Harrison, T.J. Guajardo Jr., Rickey Wilbanks, James Lowery, Jessie Hill and Alan Wilbanks. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Poye. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
