Mr. Charlie Wayne Parks, 70, of Trumann, died Thursday, August 23, 2012 at St. Luke Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Mr. Parks was born January 1, 1942 in Harrisburg, Ark., to the late Charles Erskin and Mary Kate Lindsey Parks. He lived in Trumann since 1961, co-founder and owner of Roach Manufacturing in Trumann where he served as Vice-President of Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Purchasing. He served on Board of Directors and was Past-President of the Trumann Lions Club and a member, trustee and deacon of First Baptist Church in Trumann. He was active in the community and missions in his church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Ray Parks and his parents. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Margaret Gaylon Roach Parks of the home; one daughter, Katelyn and husband Chad Furnish of Jonesboro, two sons, Bryan and wife Andrea Parks of Bedford, Tx., and Regan and wife Robin Parks of Trumann; four sisters, Norma Jean Cobb and Mary Carolyn Whitman both of Jonesboro, Sharon Louise Robinson of Trumann and Brenda Kay Williams of Marion; 7 Grandchildren, Caleb Justin Parks, Rebecca Lynn Payne, Lindsey Margaret Furnish, Landon Drake Furnish, Lauren Elizabeth Furnish, Garrett Storm Parks and Gunner Lane Parks; and 1 great-granddaughter, Misa Rose Parks Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Pallbearers will be Mike Roach Jr., Jeremy Osment, G.W. Roach, Todd Williams, Anthony Brewington, Josh Callahan, Mark Cobb, Rodney Robinson, Hunter Roach and Chris Breaker. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Creekmore, Eddie Joe Moody, Charles Stephan, Phil Ball, Hal Stewart, Brad Owen, Leroy McCann, Larry Cossey and Deacons of First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 at the First Baptist Church, 1301 Highway 69 in Trumann. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O.
