Irene Maybelle Walker

Mrs. Irene Maybelle Walker, of Trumann died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the family residence, at the age of 91 years 9 months and 28 days. She was born Saturday, July 17, 1920 in Jonesboro, Ark., to the late James and Bertha Bradley Franklin. Mrs. Walker lived most of her lifetime in Trumann, she was a housewife and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Linton Walker in 2002, one son, Ted Salter, one great-grandson, Christopher Hutcherson, two sisters, two brothers, and her parents. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Wilson of Harrisburg and Derlene Blanchard of Trumann; one son, Charles Hanna of Trumann; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 am in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. George Ezell officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Jay Allred, Scott Hellums, Tyler Blanchard, Kyle Blanchard, Terran Blanchard and Bobby Allred.
